How to Get to Ojcow National Park

You can reach Ojców National Park in Poland by various means of transportation such as private car or public transport. In this section, we indicate the most common ways to access the national park in the easiest way with our directions.

Reaching Ojców National Park by car

Although it is possible to take a minibus from Kraków to the town of Skała, the journey to the Ojców National Park is much more comfortable and faster by car.
To get to Ojców, you should take road number 94 towards Ojców. Near the park entrance, there are two parking options. The closest is next to the ruins of Ojców Castle, while the other is approximately one kilometer further up, in front of the Zlota Góra restaurant. Both parking lots are paid, with a price ranging from 16 to 20 PLN per day.

How to get to Ojców National Park in Poland

Buses Kraków – Olkusz

Buses to Olkusz depart from Kraków from the MDA bus station at ul. Bosacka 18, near the Kraków Główny train station. They run every 10 minutes from Monday to Friday and every 30 minutes on weekends. You should get off at one of the stops along national road number 94.

"Szyce Wesoła" stop

Following the road through the village for about 1250 meters, you will reach Enklawa OPN in Hamernia, from where the red trail "Orlich Gniazd" descends through the bottom of the Prądnik Valley and leads tourists to Ojców National Park.

"Biały Kościół" stop

You must go back to the main road that crosses the village and follow it (ul. św. Jadwigi and then św. Floriana) until you reach the intersection with Skalska Droga. Turn onto it and descend to the Prądnik Valley, to the red trail (Trail "Orlich Gniazd") or near the stop along Willowa street reach ul. św. Floriana, turn left and then at the intersection turn right onto Skalska Droga.

"Murownia" stop

At this point, you can take the yellow walking trail (Trail Dolinek Jurajskich), which leads to the Prądnik Valley, or take the bike path, which leads along a winding asphalt road into the Ojców park.

"Czajowice" stop

1.8 km through the village of Czajowice to the blue trail (Trail Warowni Jurajskich), which can take you, among other places, to the Kraków Gate or switch to the black trail leading to Łokietka Cave.

"Jerzmanowice I" stop

You should follow the park boundary along the Olkusz route towards Olkusz. After about 260 meters, you will reach the blue trail (Trail Warowni Jurajskich) and enter the national park.

Buses Kraków – Skała

Buses from Kraków to Skała (towards Wolbrom) depart from the MDA bus station at ul. Bosacka 18, right next to the Kraków Główny train station.

Skała – Ojców

From Skała to the center of Ojców, you can walk, first along provincial road number 773, approximately 25 minutes (about 2 km) to Grodzisko, where the blue trail (Trail Warowni Jurajskich) and the red trail (Trail "Orlich Gniazd") are located, then towards Ojców (about 2 km).

MPK Kraków – Ojców

Line LR0 Kraków – Ojców.

Line number LR0 ("Osiedle Podwawelskie" – "Ojców Zamek") operates on Saturdays and holidays, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., approximately every 60 minutes. This line operates on good weather days. For detailed information on the route and stops, check the MPK website.

From May to August

The line operates on Saturdays and holidays from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (every 30 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and approximately every 60 minutes outside these hours).
Some buses with bicycle trailers are used to service certain routes (loading and unloading of bicycles is only possible at the starting and ending stops of the line).
Recreational line number LR0 is part of the Kraków Urban Transport network (MPK). This means that valid monthly passes in zones I or II (excluding single line passes) are valid throughout the LR0 line route.

Line 310 Kraków – Będkowice

Line number 310 (from "Cracovia Stadion" to "Będkowice Pętla") operates on weekdays and holidays. You can find detailed information about the route and stops on the MPK website.
To reach the park, you can choose one of the following stops on the route:
